Ardell Hanley JrOWENSBORO, KY., — Ardell Hanley, Jr., 65, of Owensboro departed this life Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at The Heartford House Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born July 12, 1954 in Owensboro, KY. He was a previous member of First Baptist Church of Maceo, KY until the church closed and currently is a member of the Center Street Missionary Baptist Church, Owensboro, KY. Mr. Ardell was employed by the Owensboro Sanitation Department for over 20 years. He enjoyed and became an avid UK Basketball and Football Fan in high school, this athlete became a cross country, track and field star. He enjoyed watching westerns on TV and playing bingo.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ardell Hanley Sr. and Mattie Hanley, wife Doraine Hanley and granddaughter Reealiti Hanley.

He leaves to cherish his memories his companion Eleanor of Owensboro, 1 son Brandon (Amy) Hanley of Calhoun, 1 daughter Tishna (Dwayne) Hanley of Owensboro, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 5 step children, 4 sisters Linda (Perry) Washington, Malinda Hanley, Patricia (Richard) Long, Brenda Cowherd all of Owensboro, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and will be truly missed by all.

Funeral Services will be held at Zion Missionary Baptist Church Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11am.

Visitation from 5pm – 7pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 and Tuesday, October 22, 2019 10am to 11am until funeral time. Burial in Rose Hill Elmwood Cemetery Owensboro, KY with Rev. Larry D. Lewis Officiating.

Kimberly Joy WellsDAYTONA BEACH, FL., — Kimberly Joy Wells, 49, of Daytona Beach departed this life Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born March 16, 1970 in Greenville, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her father Herman Wells, stepfather and mother John and Jacqueline Bard, sister Serphina Wells and a loving companion Terry White.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories 2 daughters Sydney White and Alexandria White both of Daytona Beach, FL., 3 brothers Lester (Melissa)  Wells, Madisonville, Sean and Andre Collins both of Greenville, 1 sister Monita Wells of Greenville, step-mother Joyce Wells, Greenville, step-sister Carolyn (Greg) Pillow Goodlettsville, TN., 1 uncle Wendell (Regina) Eaves and 1 aunt Izetta Tutt both of Greenville, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1pm. Burial in Old Unity Cemetery, Graham, KY.

Ted JohnsonMayfield, KY., — Ted Johnson, Jr., 88, of Mayfield departed this life Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in the city of Mayfield. He was born May 16, 1931 in Mayfield, KY to the late R. C. Johnson and Lucille Milliken. He was employed by Auroa in Ilinois and his favorite past time was fishing and hunting.          

Also preceding him in death 1 brother Jack Johnson, 2 sisters Cinda Caldwell and Colleen Johnson.   

He leaves behind to cherish his memories 1 son Haywood Galbreath of Los Angeles, CA., 1 daughter Cynthia Galbreath, Mayfield, 3 grandchildren, a special niece Rose (Randy) Adair, Mayfield, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, distant relatives and friends.

Larry Joe HurtGREENVILLE, KY., — Larry Joe Hurt, 66, of Greenville departed this life Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at his residence in Greenville, KY. He was born April 30, 1952 in Greenville to the late Phillip Hurt and Eva Hurt.

Also, 2 brothers James Hurt and Garland Hurt preceded him in death. He was a member of Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Greenville and was a retiree from TVA. He loved to fish, play softball, work on his truck and spend time with his granddaughter and family.      

 He leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving daughter Larvitra Hurtt of Jonesboro, GA., 1 granddaughter LaSabrae Hurtt of Springfield, TN., 1 sister Eva Nell Cheatham of Central City, several nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, distant relatives and friends.
