Vitula Mae RifeDRAKESBORO, KY., — Vitula Mae Rife, 82 of Drakesboro passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Concordia Maple in Greenville, KY. She was born March 22, 1936 in Beaver Dam, KY to the late Charles Martin and Anna Wade Martin.

Mrs. Rife was a member of the Bethel Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, Drakesboro and served in the following capacities, a member of the Mother’s Board, President of the Usher Board, Women’s Missionary Society, Kitchen Committee, Green River Valley District Assoc. and Commissioned a Kentucky Colonel on May 5, 1998. Her employment consisted of Sparks Nursing Home, Muhlenberg Community Hospital, and the remainder of her career was at Belle Meade Nursing Home.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Rife, 1 son Rodney Rife, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories 2 sons Darrell Rife Antioch, TN., Tyrone (Carmon) Rife, Greenville, 3 daughters Beverly (Howard) Morehead, Drakesboro, Nartasha Bacon, Goodlettesville, TN., and Sharon (Paul) Parker, Cleaton, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister Thelma Montgomery, Beaver Dam, 2 sisters-in-law Mae Chambers, Browder, and Carolyn (Ronnie) Reed of Drakesboro, several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, distant relatives and 2 special friends Ada Wimbley, Drakesboro, and Linda Staples of Beechmont.

Funeral Services are at 1pm Saturday, September 8, 2018 at The Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Drakesboro.

Visitation 11am – 1pm at the church on Saturday. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville with Rev. Ricky Hill, Eulogist and Rev. Reginal Elliott, Officiating.
