IMG 1180CENTRAL CITY, KY., — Phyllis Ann Mitchell, 70 of Central City passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at her residence in Central City. She was born August 22, 1947 in Greenville to the late Eugene Milton (Bean) Phelps and the late Mary Elizabeth Hamilton. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Central City and served in the following capacities Culinary Dept. actively involved with the Sunday School Dept. BTU and Vacation Bible School.                                              

Her employment consisted of Approx. 15 years with the Muhlenberg. Co. Board of Education, TVA and P& M Mines. She loved to carry on conversations and meeting people for she never met a stranger.                      

She leaves behind to cherish her memories  a loving husband of 45 years Robert Mitchell of Central City, 3 sons Courtney (Jacqueline) Phelps of Arlington, TX Rico Lamont (Toni) Mitchell of Fort Worth, TX and Marcus (Ginger) Mitchell of Central City, 7 grandchildren Syomna, Kadeija, Keara, Danara, Erica, Dondre and Little Rico, 3 great grandchildren Kaliyah, Lizzy and Dontae, 7 brothers William ( Louise) Hamilton, Michael Eugene Phelps, Jerry Phelps, Ricky Phelps, Lendell Phelps, Melvin Phelps and Perry Phelps, 5 sisters Gloria J. Phelps, Elaine Phelps, Janie Phelps, Patricia Phelps and Annetta Phelps, special cousin Donald McGruder, Sr., several nieces, nephews, cousins, distant relatives and  friends.

Funeral Services are at 11am July 13, 2018 at The Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Central City. Visitation 9am – 11am at the church on Friday. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville, KY.  Rev. Otis Cunningham, Eulogist.
